1. Introduction & Acceptance

PriceForge ("we", "our", or "us") provides a CS2 Steam market price API for developers. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

2. Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Paddle handles payments, invoicing, sales tax, and billing support on our behalf. For any billing-related questions, please contact Paddle directly or reach out to us and we will redirect you.

3. Service Description

PriceForge provides a REST API for accessing CS2 (Counter-Strike 2) Steam market price data. Our service is offered in three tiers:

  • Free: Unlimited requests with 15-30 minute data freshness.
  • Pro ($29/mo): Unlimited requests with up to 5-minute data freshness and priority support.
  • Ultra ($99/mo): Unlimited requests with up to 1-2 minute data freshness and direct S3 database access.

All tiers include unlimited API requests with no rate limits.

4. Account & API Keys

  • You must register for an API key to access the service.
  • API keys are confidential and must not be shared publicly or with unauthorized third parties.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your API key.
  • One account per person or legal entity.
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use this service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Resell raw API data or provide it as a competing service.
  • Abuse the API through intentional overloading or denial-of-service attacks.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the service.
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the service outside of the provided API.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

  • Paid plans (Pro and Ultra) are billed monthly via Paddle.
  • Prices are listed in USD. Paddle handles applicable sales tax and VAT.
  • You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.
  • Plan changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
  • Paddle will send you invoices and receipts for all transactions.

7. Cancellation & Refund Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Paddle customer portal or by contacting us.

If you are unhappy with your purchase, you may request a refund within 14 days of your subscription purchase or renewal. Refund requests are handled by Paddle on a case-by-case basis. For full details, see our Refund Policy.

Upon cancellation, you will retain full access to your paid tier until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time remaining in your billing cycle. After your paid subscription ends, your account will automatically revert to the Free tier, which remains available at no cost.

8. Data Freshness & Availability

  • PriceForge is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee specific uptime or offer a formal SLA.
  • Price data is sourced from the Steam Community Market. Accuracy depends on Steam's availability and data quality.
  • We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily affects service availability.
  • Data freshness targets (e.g., 5 minutes for Pro) represent typical performance, not guarantees.

9. Intellectual Property

PriceForge owns all rights to the API, its documentation, branding, and underlying technology. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service without permission.

You retain full ownership of any applications, bots, or tools you build using the PriceForge API.

10. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

PriceForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or trading losses resulting from decisions made based on API data.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if you violate these Terms of Service, abuse the API, or engage in activities that harm other users or the service.

You may cancel your account and stop using the service at any time.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

For material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
